Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the CostaAegis platform. By using CostaAegis, you agree to comply with this policy. Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination.

1. Permitted Use

CostaAegis is designed for legitimate AWS cost optimization purposes. You may use the Service to:

• Scan AWS accounts that you own or have explicit written authorisation to manage
• Review and act on cost optimization recommendations for your own infrastructure
• Invite team members who work within your organisation to collaborate on cost management
• Use the AI assistant for AWS billing, cost, and resource optimization questions

2. Prohibited Activities

You must not use CostaAegis to:

• Scan AWS accounts you do not own or have explicit authorisation to access
• Attempt to access other users' data, scan results, or account information
• Share account access by distributing your login credentials to people outside the team invite feature
• Use the platform to circumvent AWS billing, exploit pricing anomalies, or violate AWS's terms of service
• Conduct automated attacks, scraping, or abuse of the CostaAegis API or infrastructure
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or copy the CostaAegis platform
• Use the AI chatbot for anything other than AWS cost and resource questions
• Upload or transmit malicious code or attempt to compromise platform security
• Impersonate CostaAegis, our team, or other users
• Use the Service for any illegal purpose under applicable law

3. AWS Credential Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the AWS IAM credentials you connect to CostaAegis. You must:

• Only connect credentials for accounts you are authorised to manage
• Use least-privilege IAM roles wherever possible
• Immediately revoke credentials in CostaAegis if you suspect they have been compromised
• Ensure actions taken via CostaAegis comply with your organisation's cloud governance policies

4. Enforcement

We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations of this AUP. If we determine a violation has occurred, we may:

• Issue a warning
• Temporarily suspend your account
• Permanently terminate your account without refund
• Report illegal activity to appropriate authorities

5. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of a violation of this AUP, please report it to privacy@costaegis.com.
